Completed Projects
Gatesville High School Stadium
Gatesville Independent School District (ISD) faced challenges with their existing sound system at their football stadium, despite the system being relatively new. After consulting with the superintendent and athletic director, we worked together to identify their requirements: they wanted all sound to originate from the scoreboard, and they wanted to control the system wirelessly.
We designed and installed a customized solution that involved adding speakers to the scoreboard and installing an outdoor air-conditioned rack to house the amplifiers for the speakers. Additionally, we installed a new mixer, ref mic, and cabling, and created new announcer stations to improve sound quality.
With the new system, the sound is fully controlled from an iPad and can be managed from anywhere in the stadium or field. The result is a fully-functional and reliable sound system that meets the needs of Gatesville ISD and enhances the overall game-day experience for players and fans alike.
Crossroads Assembly of God
Crossroads Assembly of God in Taylor, TX was seeking to elevate their worship experience by improving their stage lighting system for their livestreams. They were looking to enhance the color and depth of their stage, while also incorporating their existing lighting fixtures into the new system. In addition, they wanted the flexibility to control their lighting system using their existing computer without the need for an additional console.
Our team at Onyx Media & Productions worked closely with Crossroads Assembly of God to design and install a custom lighting system that met their specific needs. We recommended high color rendering index front lights to ensure that the colors on camera were true to life, while LED backlights were added to create depth and visual interest on stage. We also integrated their existing lighting fixtures as uplights into the new system.
To ensure ease of use, we installed a lighting controller that could be accessed through the web browser of any device connected to the network. This allowed the staff to control the lighting system using their existing computer or an iPad. With the new lighting system, Crossroads Assembly of God now has a visually stunning stage that enhances their worship experience for their in-person and online audiences.
Renew Church
At Renew Church in Waco, TX, their distributed video system was causing headaches for the staff with all 6 TVs losing connection randomly on a weekly basis. We knew we had to provide a solution that would alleviate their frustration and give them a reliable system they could count on.
We started by running all new cables to each of the 6 TVs and installing a new distribution system to ensure a stable and robust connection. This not only fixed the issue but allowed Renew Church to expand the functionality of their system. They can now send digital signage to their lobby TVs while using the Fellowship Hall TVs as a live feed of the Worship Center in case of overflow space.
